What the service is
Montagist helps you turn a topic into a publish-ready video: the AI pre-production steps run in the cloud, and capturing, voice-over and rendering run on your Mac. The released 1.1.0 remains free with no retroactive charge. The new paid edition has a confirmed price and is not on sale; see pricing. AI services run on your own keys and the providers bill you separately.
Your account
- Sign up with a real email address and keep your password safe; you are responsible for activity under your account.
- To prevent abuse we limit sign-ups, sign-in attempts, devices, AI runs and storage, and may temporarily switch to invitation-only sign-up.
- If you break these terms we may limit or suspend your account, and will try to tell you why beforehand.
Your keys and third-party services
The model, search and voice services you connect are provided by third parties. You are responsible for the charges they make and for following their terms. Montagist uses your keys only in the steps you allow, and asks before any step that costs money.
Your content and footage
- The text you write and the videos you make belong to you. To provide the service, you let us store and process your text; this permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
- Montagist captures public web pages and public videos according to your plan. You are responsible for the rights to your footage: make sure you may use it and follow the rules of the platform it came from.
- You may not use Montagist to make content that is illegal, infringing, impersonates others or misleads the public.
AI-generated content
- Videos are made with AI and may contain mistakes. The fact ledger gives a source for every fact; check them before publishing.
- Label your video as AI-generated where platforms and laws require it. The video's metadata already says it is AI-generated, and the publishing kit reminds you to declare it on the platform.
- Montagist never passes a gate or publishes for you; decisions at gates and publishing are yours, and so is responsibility for them.
Copyright complaints
If you believe content on Montagist infringes your rights, write to support@hidawnllc.com with proof of your rights and the content or link concerned. We will verify and act: we can remove or stop showing content stored in the cloud; footage and videos are stored on users' own Macs, so we will notify the user concerned.
What you may not do
- Circumvent limits, or attack or disrupt the service.
- Scrape this website or its interfaces in bulk without permission.
- Transfer or lend your account to someone else.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The released 1.1.0 is provided free and as is. The paid-edition early license is sold by Hidawn LLC under the pricing, delivery and refund pages. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses caused by third-party services, disputes over footage rights, or mistakes in AI-generated content.
Changes and termination
When these terms change we update the effective date and email you in advance about significant changes. You can stop using Montagist at any time by deleting your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, and disputes go to the courts with jurisdiction in Wyoming. Nothing here takes away consumer-protection rights you have under the law where you live that can't be waived by agreement.

Paid-edition seller and footage downloads
The existing free service is provided by the operator above. The paid software license is sold by Hidawn LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company through Stripe; what is on sale now is the early license, which activates when the paid edition ships. The one-time price is USD 29 for one person and up to two installations, covering 1.x use and updates without automatic renewal; third-party charges are separate. Like the free edition, the paid edition includes remote footage search and download. See delivery and refund pages; no retroactive charge applies to the free edition. Public access and attribution do not authorize copying, editing or downloading. Remote-video downloads require recorded reuse and source permission and are blocked without these records. Records are user declarations, not legal findings or payment-provider approval.
